Educational Leadership Processes as Predictors of Positive Work Attitude at Higher Education Level

This study aimed at exploring the impact of educational leadership processes such as goal setting, strategic resourcing, curriculum quality, quality of teaching, promoting teaching-learning, and a safe environment on positive work attitudes at the higher education level. Positive work attitudes were delimited to job satisfaction, job involvement, and organizational commitment. A descriptive survey research design was used to collect quantitative data through two questionnaires; educational leadership practices questionnaire and positive work attitude scale. Results indicated that a positive correlation exists between two research variables. Simple linear regression analysis reflected that the highest Beta coefficients exist between goal setting and positive work attitude. It was concluded that in a sphere of mutual honor, trust, and allegiance between superiors and subordinates the work attitudes strongly correlate positively. It is recommended open door policy, consultative practices among educational leadership, and training for employee empowerment may be adopted to increase organizational productivity.

The Impact of Psychological Safety on Creative Performance: Mediating Role of Job Involvement

The study was conducted with the aim of identifying the impact of psychological safety on creative performance, not in isolation, but by taking job involvement as a mediator. A plethora of research is available that is considered psychological safety and creativity. However, psychological safety has the potential to evoke and motivate employees to involve themselves in work-related activities. Positivism research philosophy was adopted, followed by a deductive approach. 132 sample size was finalized from the employees working in public sector related organizations. The results suggested that psychological safety significantly contributes to the creative performance of employees and job involvement is partially mediating the said relationship.

An insight into the Causes of Lack of Home-School Connection in Malakand Division, Pakistan

Home-school connection is one of the key dimensions of interest to educational researchers. Home-school connection has not been researched well in the context of Pakistan. Therefore, this study aims to assess the causes of the lack of home-school connection in government-sector schools. This study has been conducted in Thana and Batkhela, Malakand Division, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. This study is framed as a qualitative exploratory research design. Purposive and convenience sampling techniques have been utilised. Based on saturation, 13 interviews and an FGD were conducted. The sample size for FGD was 7. An interview guide was designed specifically for the current study. Thematic analysis has been used to analyse information, as suggested by Braun and Clark (2019). It is concluded that a multifaceted set of factors impacts home-school connection.  Parents tend to focus on involving their children in business and other professions, while avoiding preparing them for government and non-governmental jobs.
