An Experimental Study Regarding Impact of 7E's Instructional Model Based Instructions upon Student's Attitude towards Physical Education Subject at Higher Secondary School Level

    Constructivism means the realization of knowledge in mind and believes that students should construct knowledge rather than gaining it. Students should allow observing, manipulating, hypothesizing, experiencing to generate result knowledge rather than feeding. Impact of instructions based on 7E's instructional model upon student's attitude towards Physical Education and its comparison between the experimental and controlled group at both pre and post-test phase was checked by using statistical package for social sciences version (24.0). It was yielded that an instructional method using 7E's instructional model has a significant positive impact on a student's attitude towards physical education subject. The experimental group show a more positive response as compared to the controlled group.

Prevalence of Physical Abuse at Primary School Level in District Faisalabad

    Physical abuse in schools is quite visible in developing countries like Pakistan; it is being covered by maintaining discipline in schools which instigated to conduct this study as a dire need of the time to cope with physical abuse at the primary school level. A multi-stage sampling technique was used. Two hundred and forty-five teachers and 23 head teachers and 500 students were selected from the Primary Section of Higher Secondary Schools of two tehsils (City & Sadar) of District Faisalabad. A Likert type scale for teachers and headteachers and a dichotomous questionnaire for students were used as research instruments. Mean, Standard Deviation, ANOVA, ttest, frequency, Mann-Whitney u test were applied to analyze data. Teachers and headteachers’ perceptions indicated that physical abuse exists moderately whereas students’ responses explored the presence of a high level of physical abuse by the teachers in the schools.

Development And Validation of Students' Academic Performance Scale For Higher Secondary School Level

    The aim of this study was to develop and validate a comprehensive instrument to measure the holistic academic performance of higher secondary school-level students in Pakistan. Data were collected from 1035 higher secondary school level students enrolled in public sector colleges and higher secondary schools. Content validity was determined by eight national and international experts' opinions. The reliability coefficient was found (α=.74) for the said scale. Initially, 52 statements were developed by integrating the students' academic characteristics, students' performance domains, and academic listening, speaking, reading, and writing tasks.Finally, 24 statements were retained after applying the Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). It resulted in two distinct sub-factors of Students’ Individual Performance (SIP) and Students'
    Group Performance (SGP). Findings of the research indicate that Students' Academic Performance may be used as a reliable and holistic measure by the educational stakeholders for higher secondary school level students.

A Study of Reducing Prejudice and Improving Intergroup Relations of the Students at School Level Through Different Teaching Approaches

    This study examines the impact of teaching strategies on prejudice and intergroup relations among secondary students in public high schools in Pakistan’s Lodhran district. Using a descriptive cross-sectional design, researchers administered a self-developed questionnaire on prejudiced attitudes and intergroup contact to 215 students from Kehroor Pakka, Lodhran, and Dunya Pur, achieving a Cronbach’s alpha of 0.834 for reliability. Findings from 213 valid responses reveal that while students are generally tolerant, biases persist regarding gender, caste, and religion. Cooperative learning and culturally responsive teaching (CRT) improved intergroup relations, especially when teachers demonstrated fairness and respect. However, challenges such as teacher bias, favoritism, and limited intergroup interaction were reported. SPSS analysis showed that group learning effectively reduced conflicts, and students favored cross-caste friendships and discussions of relevant issues. The study recommends professional development and curriculum adjustments for preservice teachers to foster inclusive, no prejudicial classroom environments.
